| Travelocity.com expands Hawaii cruise offerings by partnering with United States Lines and American Hawaii Cruises Booking a cruise online to the beautiful Hawaiian Islands is now easier than ever. On July 2, 2001, Travelocity.com (NASDAQ: TVLY), the leading travel Web site, and American Classic Voyages Co. (NASDAQ: AMCV), the largest owner and operator of U.S.-flag, U.S.-crewed passenger cruise vessels, entered into an agreement that gives Travelocity.com the rights to offer cruises aboard United States Lines' Patriot and American Hawaii Cruises' Independence, both subsidiaries of American Classic Voyages. "We're delighted to add the Hawaiian itineraries of United States Lines and American Hawaii Cruises to our cruise offerings, all of which are completely bookable online," said Chris McAndrews, senior vice president of leisure travel and media for Travelocity.com. "These cruise lines, with their established history and expertise in Hawaii, bring a valuable resource to our customers, offering a new way to see more of Hawaii." The agreement provides Travelocity.com members with around-the-clock online booking capabilities for United States Lines' and American Hawaii Cruises' year-round Hawaiian Island itineraries. In addition to offering the most comprehensive selection of online inventory and availability for United States Lines and American Hawaii Cruises, Travelocity.com is also the only travel Web site to offer both online and offline booking capability for the two cruise lines. Additionally, Travelocity.com is highlighting American Classic Voyages on its robust destination pages. The marketing agreement includes targeted advertising placements for both United States Lines and American Hawaii Cruises rotating in all of Travelocity.com's Hawaii destination pages. "It's very exciting to have the opportunity to work with such a successful travel provider and online leader as Travelocity.com," said Maria Isabel Molina, vice president of marketing for American Classic Voyages Co. "Through this powerful partnership, we are able to offer customers who might not be aware that they can cruise in Hawaii another option at a great value." The Patriot and the Independence offer destination-focused, seven-night cruises to Honolulu, Oahu; Nawiliwili, Kauai; Kahului, Maui; and both Hilo and Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. Both vessels feature two overnight port calls and a variety of destination experiences from kayaking to rainforest hikes to helicopter tours. These vessels will be joined by two new 1,900-passenger cruise ships scheduled to enter service in Hawaii under the United States Lines brand in 2003 and 2004 - the first major ocean-going passenger ships to be built in the United States in more than 40 years.
