Royal Olympic Cruises introduces inaugural winter sailings from Los Angeles. Olympia Explorer embarks on new itineraries to Hawaii and South America
Continuing to expand its portfolio of exotic international cruise adventures, Royal Olympic's newest state-of-the-art vessel, the 836-passenger Olympia Explorer, is embarking on exciting new itineraries departing from the Port of Los Angeles World Cruise Center in San Pedro, California.

This is the first time Royal Olympic has cruised out of Los Angeles, but it won't be the last. Both the 14-day "Aloha Odyssey" (Jan. 24, R/T L.A.) and the 55-day "South America Circumnavigation" (Feb. 7, L.A. to Ft. Lauderdale) have been sold out for months, and the line plans to add more West Coast departures in 2004.

"California has enormous potential as a key embarkation market for our unique winter itineraries," stated Arne Egeland, the cruise line's Executive Director for North America.Olympia Explorer
"We are delighted at the success of our initial offerings. We are the only line operating roundtrip cruises from Los Angeles to the Hawaiian Islands, and our South America Circumnavigation cruise from Los Angeles to Ft. Lauderdale is by far the most comprehensive in the industry."

During the Winter 2003/2004 cruise season, Royal Olympic will offer an extensive series of departures from Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco aboard the Olympia Explorer and her sister ship Olympia Voyager.

Royal Olympic is known for the industry's finest onboard enrichment program. Activities range from seminars by expert guest lecturers with prominent university and government affiliations, to classical music concerts by artists of international acclaim. In addition, the line's "Seafaring Gourmet" program brings aboard high-profile chefs and wine experts, including, on the January 24th "Aloha Odyssey," Guest Chef Andre Soltner, former chef-owner of the legendary New York City Restaurant Lutece.

Upon conclusion of its South American circumnavigation, Olympia Explorer will sail from Ft. Lauderdale to Venice on a 17-day Transatlantic and Mediterranean Cruise, April 3-20, with calls at San Juan, Madeira, Lisbon, Casablanca, Malaga, Almeria, Minorca, Tunis, Syracuse (Italy), Athens, and Corfu'.
