Princess Cruises offers more Alaska Inside Passage cruise options in 2004. New Diamond Princess and Sapphire Princess to sail from Seattle; Regal Princess returns to San Francisco
Princess will offer more Inside Passage cruising in Alaska in 2004 than ever, with a significantly expanded schedule featuring two of the line's newest and most amenity-filled vessels, Diamond Princess and Sapphire Princess, in Seattle as well as the return of Regal Princess to Alaska with cruises from San Francisco. With 48 sailings to choose from and more than double the line's previous Inside Passage capacity, the program continues to offer the convenience of easily accessible home ports. These roundtrip cruises complement Princess' other 2004 Alaska offering, the "Voyage of the Glaciers" Gulf of Alaska itinerary, offered on four ships. The Inside Passage program offers passengers a convenient, U.S.-based discovery adventure that also offers the opportunity to visit many additional attractions during pre- or post-cruise stays in Seattle or San Francisco. "We're pleased that these Seattle-based Inside Passage sailings have become a successful part of our extensive Alaska lineup," said Dean Brown, Princess' executive vice president of customer service and sales. "Diamond and Sapphire Princess will not only allow us to double our capacity on this popular route, but will certainly be the most spectacular ships in Alaska next year -- offering the perfect way to enjoy the beauty of southeast Alaska and the best of Princess choice and service." DIAMOND PRINCESS AND SAPPHIRE PRINCESS SAIL FROM SEATTLE Both of these new 2,670-passenger sister ships will take passengers on a seven-day roundtrip voyages from Seattle to Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan and Victoria, plus cruise through the dramatic glaciers, rock walls and waterfalls of Tracy Arm and the twin Sawyer Glaciers. Diamond Princess will offer 19 voyages on this itinerary departing on Saturdays between May 8 and September 11, 2004, while Sapphire Princess will offer 18 voyages departing on Sundays, beginning May 16 and continuing through September 12. REGAL PRINCESS SAILS FROM SAN FRANCISCO Regal Princess will offer 11 departures between May 6 and August 14, 2004 on a 10-day Inside Passage itinerary roundtrip from San Francisco that includes calls at Victoria, Ketchikan or Sitka, Skagway or Haines, Juneau, and premiere glacier viewing in Tracy Arm. CANADIAN ROCKIES CRUISETOURS Passengers who would like to enjoy a complete land and sea vacation have three Canadian Rockies tour options designed to coordinate with Inside Passage cruises from Seattle. Princess' escorted itineraries take guests to the heart of these spectacular mountains with visits to Banff, Jasper, Calgary and Kamloops, along with other local highlights. The 12- and 13-day packages feature stays at the area's premiere resort hotels such as the Chateau Lake Louise, Banff Springs Hotel and Jasper Park Lodge. Early booking fares for Inside Passage voyages start at $899 for cruises and $2,449 for Canadian Rockies cruisetours. (Source: Princess Cruises) |
