New for Radisson Seven Seas in 2003: Voyager debuts april 1; Navigator's first New York - Bermuda season; Mariner's first world cruise; new calls in Turkey, Greece & Italy on Radisson Diamond, Song of Flower
New in 2003, Radisson Seven Seas will launch the world's second all-balcony suite cruise ship, the 700-guest Seven Seas Voyager ; homeport the Seven Seas Navigator in New York as the first luxury cruise ship to sail a season of Bermuda cruises; launch the Seven Seas Mariner's first World Cruise; visit the Marquesas Islands twice on the Paul Gauguin ; and add new European ports of call on the Radisson Diamond and Song of Flower . VOYAGER'S INAUGURAL SEASON On April 1, 2003, the all-balcony suite Seven Seas Voyager will sail her maiden voyage: 12 nights from Monte Carlo to Venice. Currently under construction at the T. Mariotti shipyard in Genoa, Italy, the Voyager will be christened on March 31, and will be the first to sail from the new port facilities in Monaco. The Voyager will boast the world's largest lead-in suites, each with a private balcony (a minimum of 356 square feet), extensive butler-at-sea services, luxurious amenities with an exceptionally high space ratio, elegant public spaces, and large marble-appointed bathrooms with separate showers and full bathtubs. Suites will boast hi-tech interactive TV systems with free movie channels, CD and DVD players, email capabilities, wake up service and more. Four dining venues will include a Le Cordon Bleu -directed dinner restaurant with five 2003 voyages featuring optional hands-on Le Cordon Bleu cooking workshops. The Voyager's inaugural season in Europe will offer Mediterranean, Western Europe & British Isles cruises, and a series of Baltic voyages. NAVIGATOR CRUISES BIG APPLE & BERMUDA In 2003, the 490-guest Seven Seas Navigator's April - October season of luxury cruises to Bermuda will include 11 seven-night voyages sailing roundtrip from New York with calls in Norfolk, Virginia, for visits to Colonial Williamsburg on the return. A series of Wednesday departures will allow the all-suite (90% with private balconies) vessel to arrive in Hamilton after other visiting cruise ships have left the port. Guests will enjoy two days in Hamilton and one in St. George as the Navigator gives Bermuda its first season of regularly scheduled luxury cruises. Her first-ever New England and Canada fall foliage cruises are also in the offing, along with Caribbean cruises from Palm Beach. WORLDLY ITINERARIES On January 21, the all-balcony suite Seven Seas Mariner will depart Los Angeles on her maiden World Cruise. The 108-night voyage will be one of the few complete circumnavigations of the world in 2003 - an adventure in which luxury goes exploring 44 destinations in 28 countries on five continents, highlighted by special complimentary shoreside events. After a summer of Alaska sailings, the vessel will depart San Francisco on September 21 for a 26-night roundtrip Grand South Pacific Voyage, to be followed on October 17 by a 56-night Grand Circle South America Voyage, concluding in Ft. Lauderdale December 12. This year, Radisson Seven Seas will deploy four luxury ships in European waters - giving guests their greatest choice in European and Baltic cruises ever. Joining the Seven Seas Voyager for full seasons will be the Radisson Diamond and Song of Flower. The Seven Seas Navigator will cruise from New York to Copenhagen in June, spend July in the Baltic, and return to the Big Apple in August via Edinburgh. The 350-guest Radisson Diamond's 26 Mediterranean sailings in 2003 will include calls in Turkey and Greece on voyages between Rome, Istanbul and Athens. Twenty-five convenient sailings are seven nights in length with Friday departures. The 180-guest Song of Flower will kick off her European season on April 21 with visits to four new ports of call in Italy in May: Brindisi, Pesaro, Pescara and Ravenna. Also new in 2003, the acclaimed 320-guest Paul Gauguin based in Tahiti will feature two 14-night voyages to the remote Marquesas Islands including a May 3 "Homage to Gauguin" cruise to commemorate the centenary of post-impressionist artist Paul Gauguin's death.
