Doo Wop headliners "The Platters" to star on Dec. 2, & acclaimed soprano Anna Maria Alberghetti on Dec. 12, Seven Seas Mariner Caribbean cruises; 2-for-1 fares on from $1,998
Pretending it's the 1950s won't be hard when The Platters, famed for Rock 'n Roll chart toppers like "The Great Pretender" and "Only You," and leading soprano and Tony award-winner Anna Maria Alberghetti, dip into their popular repertoires aboard the 700-guest, all-balcony suite Seven Seas Mariner's Dec. 2 and 12 cruises, respectively.

Yet only you, and other music lovers, will reap exceptional two-for-one savings, from $1,998 per person, aboard the pair of roundtrip Ft. Lauderdale Caribbean voyages.
On December 2, the Seven Seas Mariner sets out on a 10-night "Spotlight on the Golden Oldies" cruise, sailing roundtrip from Ft. Lauderdale.

In addition to the specially priced two-for-one fares, the themed voyage will serve up hits of the 50's, 60's and 70's featuring a full schedule of special Doo Wop era events like dance classes, guest lecturers, trivia game shows and a real "Sock Hop." Topping off the program will be concerts by Sonny Turner and The Platters, one of the most popular vocal groups of the 1950s with mega hits like "Earth Angel" and "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes."
Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1990, The Platters helped launch Doo Wop music and influenced generations of groups to follow. Seven Seas Mariner

Also complementing the voyage's calls at six Caribbean islands are three charmed days at sea.
Guests may enjoy the Judith Jackson Sea Spa's aromatherapy treatments, pick up a book from the library and lounge on their private balcony, or take Bridge lessons.
Ashore, there's ample time to explore St. John's (Antigua), Roseau (Dominica), St. Maarten (Netherlands Antilles), St. Barts (French West Indies), San Juan (Puerto Rico) and Nassau (Bahamas).

On December 12, the seven-night "Spotlight on Classical Music" Caribbean sailing departs Ft. Lauderdale on a roundtrip journey with legendary soprano and Tony Award winning actress, Anna Maria Alberghetti.
This special once-only theme cruise will delight aficionados of classical music with an inspired schedule of evening concerts and matinee recitals by classical artists, enhanced by lectures on classical music with distinguished guest experts.
Headlining the entertainment will be Ms. Alberghetti in concert.
Since her Carnegie Hall debut at the tender age of 13, she has been praised for her classically trained voice.
Star of TV, stage and screen, she appeared on the landmark Ed Sullivan show a record 53 times and won the coveted Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical performance in the Broadway classic "Carnival."

The Dec. 12 "Margarita Meanderings" cruise will visit popular Western Caribbean destinations, including Grand Cayman (Cayman Islands), Costa Maya, Playa del Carmen & Cozumel (Mexico) and Key West (featuring a shipboard overnight).
