In celebration of its 50th Anniversary in small ship cruising, Variety Cruises has announced that it will reward travel agents throughout 2018 with free cruises and bonus commissions.
To mark its 50th Anniversary, Variety Cruises is offering 50 free cruises to those travel agents who make the first 50 cruise reservations starting from Monday, October 16, 7 am EST for any sailing departures in 2018 (also valid for departures on Dec 29 and Dec 30, 2017). The free cruises, for the winning agents and their companion, will be valid for all destinations on any departure date in 2018 with the exception of Cuba, but do not include port charges.
Agents will also receive $50 bonus commission per cabin booked for any reservation with a departure from December 29, 2017 to the end of December 2018, and Variety Cruises will double this bonus commission for all Cuba and Costa Rica for winter 2017-2018 bookings.

Luxury cruise brand, Cunard, has unveiled its January to May 2019 programme called the 'Oceans of Discovery' which will include a voyage to Alaska. This will be the first time that the current fleet will have travelled to Alaska, and the first time that the cruise line will have ventured there in over 20-years.
From January to May 2019, Cunard's iconic flagship Queen Mary 2 and her sisters Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria will call at 49 different countries and 109 destinations. Of these, 21 are maiden calls and exciting new destinations include Boracay (Phillipines), Akita (Japan) and Goa (India).
Cunard World Club members will be able to book exclusively with stateroom assignments beginning on March 28, 2017, and booking will open for the public on March 29, 2017.

Lindblad Expeditions is offering free round-trip airfare to Galápagos on 50+ cruise departures in 2017 and 2018 in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Lars-Eric Lindblad's first international tourist expedition to the islands

Aranui 5, the passenger-cum-cargo ship which departs every three weeks from Papeete in Tahiti to visit the Tuamotu Archipelago, Bora Bora in the Society Islands, and the world's most remote archipelago, the Marquesas, has released details of its Polynesian cruise programme for 2018.
Among the Aranui's departure dates are several that qualify for a 10% discount on 14-day cruises, including January 13th, March 29th and June 12th 2018.
Alternatively, there is also a special 10% senior discount for over 60s on the two-week 2nd October 2018 departure, or a 10% discount on any 14-day voyage for repeat bookers. Only one discount per booking may be used.

The 2018 expedition cruise season in Alaska will begin earlier than ever, an increased number of vessels will now be navigating Alaskan waters, there will be increased opportunities for exploring Glacier Bay National Park and more multi-sport options for active cruise adventures will be offered.
Longer Season & Savings
Historically small expedition vessels begin plying cruise routes in Alaska in mid-May; however next year the first Alaska sailing of the season is set for April 14, 2018, aboard Wilderness Adventurer's new Glacier Bay National Park Adventure Cruise route. (Note: for real early birds, some positioning cruises from Seattle will sail as early as April 7, 2018.) A major benefit of cruising in April will be opportunities to see more wildlife. In 2019, Cunard will sail to Alaska, bringing the beauty of the Pacific Northwest to guests once again. A series of voyages beginning in May 2019 will combine the magnificence of Alaska with the luxury of Cunard as Queen Elizabeth sails from Japan to Alaska and then remains in the region through June.
The ship will then transport passengers down the West Coast of the United States, through the Panama Canal to New York, on to Iceland and the British Isles.
To start the Alaska program, Queen Elizabeth will sail from Tokyo (Yokohama) to Vancouver with a 27-night voyage on May 5, 2019 (Q915). Guests will cross the International Date Line sailing to the Alaskan port of Kodiak, home to the Alutiiq people for more than 7,000 years.

Expanding on the popularity of its "AMP Up Commission Challenge" in September, Carnival Cruise Line is giving travel agencies a new opportunity to earn higher commission percentages in 2018 with its new "AMP Up Commission Program."
The Program offers agencies the ability to increase their commission rate up to 15 percent based on active deposited bookings made from Jan. 1- March 31, 2018. Princess Cruises announced the worldwide itinerary of the 12th annual Australia-based World Cruise, roundtrip from Sydney, Brisbane or Auckland. Departing on May 10, 2019, the 106-day World Cruise aboard Sea Princess will sail more than 34,000 nautical miles through the Indian Ocean, Mediterranean Sea, Baltic Sea, Atlantic Ocean, Panama Canal and Pacific Ocean.
The voyage is also available in four World Cruise segments starting in Sydney, Dubai, London (Dover) and New York, which can be combined into 46- to 60-day liners embarking or disembarking in London or New York.
